La Collection selon... 19 good reasons to visit Espace Création

Why should you visit Espace Création between September 30 and December 6? Top Québec celebrities, including Robert Charlebois, Marie Laberge, Andrée Lachapelle, Jean Lapierre, Fabienne Larouche, Marina Orsini, Stéphane Quintal and Michel Tremblay, will be sharing their own unique stories about art - with you! Each of these 25 guest curators have chosen artworks from the Collection Loto‑Québec and even elaborated how the pieces would be presented. This brilliant idea was brought to life by Curator Louis Pelletier, who has been nurturing The Collection for 30 years. This constellation of artists and curators will provide the perfect closing note for festivities marking the 30th anniversary of Loto-Québec's magnificent art collection.

What stories do these celebrities have to tell? Of works that move them and make them fall in love. Of works that touch on their creativity, their passion and their history. Our guest curators were given carte blanche when organising the exhibition space they were randomly assigned. Each one was free to envision their space as creatively as possible. The result? Magnificent works, eclectic and unique settings, and the ideal showcase for talent. To thank our guest curators for their efforts, Loto‑Québec will be donating $5,000 to the foundations or causes of their choice.

There is nothing "ordinary" about the La Collection selon... exhibit. Each visit brings new discoveries, each space new revelations. At any given moment, you may hear the whispered secrets of Émilie Bordeleau, Virginie and Albertine. Or share an inside joke with a 98.5 radio commentator and former #5 player for the Montréal Canadiens. In this seductive space, all hearts stay open to the sway of La Collection selon... and are filled with true joie de vivre!

The curators of this magnificent art exhibit are: Robert Charlebois, Marie Chouinard, Alain Cousineau (President, CEO, Loto-Québec), René Richard Cyr, Claude Dubois, Marc Hervieux, Marie Laberge, Jean Lapierre, Kent Nagano, Marina Orsini, Jean-Claude Poitras, Stéphane Quintal, Marie Saint Pierre and et Michel Tremblay. There is also the Club des Ex, bringing together Jean-Pierre Charbonneau, Liza Frulla and Marie Grégoire, with duos composed of Françoise Sophie Faucher, Fabienne Larouche & Michel Trudeau, Andrée Lachapelle & André Melançon, and Jean-Marc Eustache & Ginette Noiseux.
